The Role

Build the reporting systems that give the business visibility: financial reports, at-risk account views, load tracking dashboards, and the data workflows underneath them. You'll work with management, mentors, and stakeholders across Finance and Operations to turn business questions into SQL queries, Laravel/Livewire reporting features, PHPUnit tests, and QuickSight dashboards. Suited to early-career engineers who care about numerical accuracy, love to learn, and use AI tools judiciously.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain reporting capabilities within the TMS platform
  • Write SQL for joins, aggregations, computed columns, and financial calculations
  • Enhance reports with columns, filters, formatting, and UI updates
  • Develop PHPUnit feature tests covering scenarios and calculations
  • Work with Finance, Operations, and product teams on metrics and validation
  • Create and modify Amazon QuickSight dashboards reflecting business KPIs
  • Use AI coding tools for code navigation and exploration
  • Participate in code review, team demos, and documentation

Qualifications

  • Strong SQL: joins, grouping, aggregations, window functions
  • Practical PHP and Laravel experience with MVC familiarity
  • Commitment to data accuracy and numerical verification
  • Testing mindset with an understanding of regression prevention
  • Clear communication in technical contexts
  • Capable with AI coding assistants, paired with critical review

Preferred Experience

QuickSight dashboarding, MySQL optimization, Laravel Sail, GitHub Actions, logistics domain knowledge, or financial reporting background.
