The Role
Join Pod 1: Operations & Execution — the engineering team building the real-time systems that manage loads from creation through delivery. You'll report to engineering leadership and collaborate with operations, product, and platform engineers to own core workflows including load management, vehicle management, bidding, mapping, and carrier outreach.
Responsibilities
- Own load management systems: lifecycle, planning board, appointments, consolidation, journey tracking, and rate confirmation
- Build vehicle workflows including BOL generation, inspections, VIN decoding, and tracking
- Develop bidding systems with auto-acceptance rules, margin logic, and notifications
- Enhance location and mapping features using AWS Location services and Google Maps
- Support carrier outreach through campaign creation and AI-assisted email analytics
- Design end-to-end features from requirements through testing and rollout
- Optimize high-volume, real-time workflows via queue tuning, indexing, and caching
- Mentor engineers and lead code review
Qualifications
- 4+ years building production web applications in LAMP or modern PHP stacks
- Expertise in Laravel, Eloquent, queues, jobs, events, listeners, and PHP 8+ features
- Strong MySQL knowledge: schema design, indexing, and query optimization
- Proficiency with Blade, Livewire, Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS, AWS/Vapor, and Docker
- Experience with AI coding assistants and strong prompting abilities
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
- Senior-level code review and mentorship capabilities
